DogVenture began as Cool Dog Gear, a passion project created by founders Sue Hepner and Paula Jaffe, along with their beloved dogs Chase, Tuddie, and Aubrey in 2012. Together, they built a place where quality, community, and canine joy came first—a legacy that lives on in every treat, toy, and tail-wagging moment.
In 2021, Jeff and Nicole Mueller (and their pups Falkor and Penny) stepped in to carry the torch. Fueled by a shared love of dogs and a dream of making enrichment accessible, they continued to grow the brand, keeping its heart while expanding its reach.
In late 2023, DogVenture entered an exciting new chapter when Jeff and Nicole partnered with Mary Kaye and Matt Bruce (and their pups Callie and Louie). With their combined energy, vision, and love of dogs, DogVenture opened its second location in New Britain in 2024—bringing our signature experience to even more pups and their people. The New Britain location also features grooming services 7 days a week to help your dog feel as good as they look.
